ADULT MINISTRY GROUPS

We Embrace All Ages & Stages

We are enriched by our diverse ages and experiences.

We seek to create an intentional space where our congregants, regardless of the age or stage of life they are in, can all gather for one purpose - to offer prayer and worship to the Lord. This means that all members of our church have the opportunity to serve in many roles. We are all blessed with spiritual gifts from the Lord, and it is important as Christians to experience joy and fulfillment through the use of these gifts.

Building a church with truly intergenerational ministries is vital to sustaining growth and establishing a solid foundation in Christ.

We will never change the world by going to church. We will only change the world by being the church.

UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH

Lone Oak United Methodist women have a long history of service for God. Mission and service projects include:

Diasaster Relief Kits are sent annually to the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) and distributed across the world.
Christmas Shoeboxes are filled, wrapped, and sent to children and adults in need.
Meals are prepared and served to the homeless and less fortunate within our community.

YOUNG ADULTS

Our Young Adult group strives to actively engage young families in our community in a safe, yet comfortable, place to meet and learn together about the Word of God. This group hosts two events annually - the Easter Eggs-travaganza and the Halloween Bash - providing a safe alternative for families to gather and grow closer to God and one another. There are monthly get togethers for fun, fellowship, and Bible study. Childcare is available for these meetings.

The Young Adults seek to engage in our community, participating in Family Kitchen and feeding college students at the Murray State Wesley Foundation.
